About The Position

The Training & Development Specialist I at Tower Federal Credit Union is responsible for enhancing workplace performance by identifying training gaps and implementing targeted solutions. This role involves evaluating training effectiveness, organizing and facilitating employee training, and maintaining training materials to ensure they meet organizational needs. The specialist will also monitor employee progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful knowledge transfer from training to job performance.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role or four years of training-related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and Zoom.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of training and organizational development concepts and adult learning principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in credit union operations.
• Ability to facilitate focus group discussions.
• Experience with eLearning programs and resources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate modes of training delivery to optimize effectiveness.
• Present information using various instructional techniques such as role playing and group discussions.
• Organize and facilitate employee training for new and existing employees.
• Monitor employee progress throughout training programs and document performance.
• Identify performance gaps and discuss solutions with senior staff.
• Follow up with employees post-training to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Update and maintain training materials as directed.
• Proactively identify training needs and incorporate them into programs.
• Use approved tools to measure skills and knowledge acquisition.
• Maintain records of training activities and results.
