The Training Coordinator position at Apex Tool Group is designed to enhance the competencies of our distribution center associates through the development and administration of effective training programs. This role is pivotal in onboarding new associates and improving their performance within the organization. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating production positions to understand the specific requirements of each role, thereby becoming a subject matter expert. This expertise will enable the Coordinator to effectively onboard and train associates, ensuring they reach a competent level in their respective positions. In addition to training responsibilities, the Training Coordinator will assist with various administrative tasks related to the Human Resources department, including maintaining accurate recordkeeping requirements. The role involves designing, creating, and conducting a comprehensive portfolio of training programs aimed at onboarding new hires and facilitating the advancement of current associates. The Coordinator will draft, maintain, and revise standard operating procedures for all production areas, clearly defining the duties and responsibilities associated with each job in a detailed, step-by-step format. The Training Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining training records and requirements using ATG's digital training tracking software, ensuring compliance with annual training hour requirements. Developing a network of trainers throughout the facility will be essential for a successful transition from new hire orientation to specific work areas, with follow-up training as necessary. The Coordinator will conduct audits and evaluations of training programs, performing gap analyses to identify areas for improvement and proactively revising training materials to support operational performance. Collaboration with Safety and HR will be crucial in coordinating and facilitating the onboarding process for new associates.
