As a Training and Development Specialist, you’ll design and deliver learning programs that elevate workforce capability, improve operational performance, and support a culture of continuous improvement within the plant. In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders and subject matter experts to translate technical processes into effective training solutions that drive productivity, compliance, and long-term operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assess workforce development needs, using skills gap analysis, performance data, and operational metrics to identify priorities
  • Design and implement targeted training programs, addressing technical skill gaps and supporting plant performance goals
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, defining learning objectives and developing SOPs, job aids, and instructional materials
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, utilizing diverse formats including group discussions, simulations, lectures, and multimedia tools
  • Reinforce learning and knowledge transfer, providing follow-up support to ensure application in the production environment
  • Maintain accurate training documentation, tracking attendance, assessments, certifications, and retraining requirements
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, analyzing feedback, assessments, and results to drive continuous improvement
  • Support compliance and operational standards, aligning training with safety, quality, and manufacturing requirements
  • Stay current on learning trends and best practices, continuously enhancing training methods and delivery approaches
  • Partner cross-functionally, aligning workforce development initiatives with plant leadership and operational goals
