About The Position

The Trainer position is responsible for training packers and machine operators on the production floor. This position assists to assign work, implements and enforces policies & procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The Trainer - Day Shift will also be responsible for conducting New Hire Orientation each week. Altium Packaging, Our Culture Differentiates Us! Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to learn basic measurements/mathematics
  • 1-3 years production/manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Trainer/Employee Engagement experience

Responsibilities

  • Handle and operate any machinery, tools or equipment used safely while performing job duties.
  • Ensure effective employee relations.
  • Provide employee coaching and development.
  • Resolve employee training issues through problem resolution.
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Work to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Under direction of Manage, track training measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager.
  • Leads by Example
  • Trains newly hired associates on the job, to promote maximum growth within the company.
  • Provide leadership
  • Help manage department priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with Plant Manager & Human Resources
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
