About The Position

The Application /EHR Trainer at the Center for Human Development is responsible for conducting training sessions for users of the EHR system, developing and updating training materials, and assisting with system administration and project management. This role aims to enhance user satisfaction and efficiency in utilizing the EHR system across various departments.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting (clinical background a plus).
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience using and/or supporting myEvolv/Epic/Athenahealth EMR/UKG systems.
  • Hands-on experience with medical chart and related paperwork.
  • Hands-on experience with EMR-based charge capture preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with scheduling and registration.
  • Experience with the medical billing process is a plus.
  • Experience with CBHC practices is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a CORI and driving record background check.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general training sessions with users, both new and current, as needed.
  • Develop and continuously update training materials for various training sessions including Orientation, Advanced, and Refresher classes.
  • Create a schedule of training courses and conduct those trainings to increase departmental use and satisfaction with the EHR.
  • Assist in system administration development and customization in the Test environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of standard configurations.
  • Conduct observations of users in their environment to identify areas for improvement and suggest workflow redesigns.
  • Create a recurring schedule to ensure all departments in all facilities receive training on the EHR.
  • Manage tasks to support implementations and upgrades.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide notes to participants.
  • Track tasks and maintain project materials.
  • Monitor various processes and functionality in the EHR and route issues to appropriate parties.
  • Assist with application upgrades, upgrade testing, and management of support issues that may arise from upgrades/projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
