About The Position

The Sanitation Trainer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all production equipment, tools, and work areas within the plant. This role involves educating new employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) standards, while also enforcing safe work practices to minimize deficiencies and optimize resource usage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification preferred.
• Basic math skills.

• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all work areas throughout the entire plant.
• Remove excess products from the floor and dispose of them properly.
• Perform all functions of sanitation, including product removal, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping, and detail cleaning.
• Obtain and apply the appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solution to all food and non-food contact surfaces, scrub surfaces, and parts.
• Remove condensation from production equipment.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Inform management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which have become non-compliant with specified requirements.
• Monitor and verify the adequate implementation of cleaning and sanitation activities to support pre-requisite programs.
• Train new hires and ensure proper usage of chemicals, tools, PPE, etc.
