About The Position

The Trainer II at Delta Community Supports, Inc. is responsible for training and coordinating mandatory employee competencies and certifications in accordance with state regulations. This role involves managing training records, developing training courses, and ensuring a positive learning experience for employees. The Trainer II will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver essential training programs and maintain compliance with training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid driver's license with three (3) years of satisfactory driving history
  • Five (5) years training experience in the Human Services field
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental needs assessments to identify skills or knowledge gaps.
  • Use classroom management practices to generate an interactive learning experience.
  • Develop new training courses using instructional design principles.
  • Create and deliver New Employee Orientation and other required training.
  • Collaborate in the design and maintenance of the new employee orientation-training manual.
  • Administer online training and track transcripts for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain records of employee annual certifications.
  • Provide trainings at all locations as scheduled.
  • Use PowerPoint, Zoom, and other presentation systems effectively.
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
  • Serve as an Administrator of the LMS to build course programs and track training.
  • Promote ethical and professional conduct among employees.
  • Communicate effectively in writing when developing training materials.
  • Attend meetings and training to enhance job performance.
  • Research and recommend new training methods.
  • Create and maintain a training calendar and coordinate specialized training.
  • Schedule and coordinate quarterly Medication Administration Reviews.
  • Prepare required and requested reports.
  • Maximize employee development and communicate the company's mission and values.
