About The Position
The Skilled Highway Construction Laborer position is designed to develop all necessary skills to perform effectively as a member of the labor crew under the direct supervision of the Laborer Foreman. The role involves working closely with the labor crew and the foreman in various tasks including reading roadway plans and drawings, using and caring for hand and power tools, and implementing Erosion and Sediment Control measures. Responsibilities also include maintaining and protecting traffic, receiving and unloading concrete pipe, asphalt patching and compacting, and road grading. Additional duties may be assigned by the Foreman as needed.
