About The Position
Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division, part of CRH South Division of Companies, is seeking a Trainee Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team in the South region of Florida, specifically in Fort Myers, Naples, and Nokomis. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in quality control within the asphalt industry. The Quality Control Trainee will be trained in various techniques to perform routine testing of Hot Mix Asphalt and will assist in making adjustments to plant settings to ensure compliance with job or agency specifications. As a Trainee Quality Control Lab Technician, you will be responsible for performing daily quality control testing on Hot Mix Asphalt as required by governing agencies and at the discretion of the Quality Control Manager. This includes sample collection, data collection, and reporting. You will also assist in mix design development and changes in plant production, as well as perform stockpile analysis on incoming aggregates and RAP stockpiles as needed. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
