Jefferson County Open Space is currently hiring Trails Technicians (Restoration 8 Month) for a unique role. The Mission of Jefferson County Open Space is to preserve open space and parkland, protect park and natural resources, and provide healthy nature-based experiences. Under supervision from the Trails Senior Restoration Specialist, will assist with the restoration of unauthorized trail and disturbed areas throughout Jefferson County Open Space parks. This position will work with other trail staff and Open Space teams including Specialist, LTEs, Seasonals, and volunteers to complete projects. While working in the field, may need to convey the importance of outdoor stewardship and provide environmental education related to the project to the general public. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, limited position with a projected end date of 11/19/2026. COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $22.00 – $24.00 USD Hourly Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills. BENEFITS: The employment status is Limited (Fixed-Term) with an anticipated assignment end date of 11/19/2026 and is eligible for medical coverage starting the month after hire.
