This role is responsible for repairing, fabricating, and maintaining trailer bodies and components to ensure safety, durability, and quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing solid, reliable work.
Requirements
- 1+ Welding and fabrication experience
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and fabricate metal
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on trailers, truck bodies, or heavy equipment preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication on trailer bodies, frames, and components
- Repair structural damage, floors, doors, roofs, panels, and undercarriages
- Cut, fit, and assemble metal parts using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, measurements, and work orders
- Perform body repairs including straightening, replacing panels, and reinforcing structures
- Inspect trailers for damage and determine repair needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and shop standards
- Perform body swaps
