About The Position

The Trailer Technician position at UPS involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on UPS Transportation Trailers and Converter Dollies. Requirements

• Current documented trailer mechanic experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers.
• Possess a full complement of personal hand tools.
• Ability to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on UPS Transportation Trailers and Converter Dollies.
• Diagnose and repair non-power equipment, including air brake systems and electrical systems.
• Meet D.O.T requirements.
• Lift, lower, push, pull, and manipulate equipment and packages weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Assist in moving packages or equipment up to 150 pounds.
• Operate standard/manual transmission and power pneumatic tools.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.
• Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment.
