About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Technician A for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for handling repairs on new and refurbished trailers. Shift: Full-Time l Day Shift 4:10s or M-F-No weekends! Holiday pay Yearly performance raises Career advancement opportunities 401K & Company paid life insurance Referral bonuses and Reyes Reward program Health, dental, and vision coverage including multiple medical plans Tool & Boot annual payout Great work culture and clean facilities Financial and wellness discounts and much more Position Responsibilities: The Trailer Uplifting Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets, diagnosing complex mechanical problems, and documenting work orders through the online AssetWorks system As a Trailer Uplifting Technician, you will inspect, repair, and diagnose refrigeration and heating units, as well as hydraulic liftgate components You will assess the structural integrity and body of the asset, repair and replace parts as needed, and perform the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) annual inspection certification You will work in a safe manner and maintain a clean and organized work area Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 to 4 years of related experience Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement) Preferred Education and Experience: Technical School Certification

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 to 4 years of related experience
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
