Requirements

Must be dependable with attention to detail, excellent verbal communication along with documentation skills
Must stay up to date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical and regulation publications
Prolonged periods of standing and walking, with the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
Ability to listen, understand and follow directions
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the area

Responsibilities

Determines trailer condition by conducting inspections; identifying worn and damaged parts
Keeps trailers available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules and correcting trailer deficiencies.
Maintains trailer records by annotating services and repairs
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
Provide complete and accurate paperwork detailing repairs
Maintain cleanliness of tools and work area at all times
Other duties as needed
