In the Columbus Ohio area, Parsec provides services at the Norfolk Southern Rickenbacker Terminal and operates 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We are currently hiring for the position of Chassis Repair – Maintenance Technician. This role is essential to the daily operations of our terminal and is responsible for repairing containers, trailers and chassis. The Chassis Repair Mechanic also repairs and performs replacement work, which is not limited to, containers, lights, tires, landing legs, brakes and framework.

Requirements

Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
Open availability (24/7/365)
Applicants must be available to work holidays that fall on your rotation.
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
Must have own hand tools
Valid Driver’s License
Must be willing to complete a drug screen, physical and background check

Responsibilities

Conducts routine/scheduled maintenance on railroad leased/owned containers and chassis
Repairs equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer & FMCSA guidelines
Documents repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing
Repairs tires, brakes, lights, landing leg and framework
Performs light welding when required
