About The Position

Trailer Mechanic, Earn up to $37.75 hr Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes our very own employee resorts R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Portland, OR Service Center. Requirements

Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must own your own tools
Must be dependable
Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Nice To Haves

Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
Welding Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
Sheet metal and composite panel repair
