About The Position

Job Summary Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment consisting of preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs to trailers. Essential Duties Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions Performs P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met Assists with road service calls during emergency breakdowns. Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage Assures compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulations Other duties as assigned Trailer Mechanic benefits include: $1500 Sign on Bonus Class A CDL Holders receive additional hourly compensation Annual steel boots program Uniforms provided Tuition Reimbursement (restrictions apply) Great Work-Life Balance

Requirements

  • Valid and unrestricted Driver's license
  • Must have a Toolbox
  • Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Trailer Technician experience preferred.
  • Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.
  • Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Trailer Technician experience preferred.
