About The Position

Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment consisting of preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs to trailers.

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Driver’s license
• Must have a Toolbox
• Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Trailer Technician experience preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.
• Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions
• Performs P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met
• Assists with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.
• Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage
• Assures compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned
