We are currently searching for a trailer mechanic with 2+ years of mechanical and/or tank trailer repair experience, and a CDL Class-A Driver license for our Charlotte, NC location! Address: 201 Black Satchel Drive, Charlotte, NC. 28216 Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, occasional overtime Pay Range: $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. (Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.) Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer. Tank service and repair Trailer suspension installation and repair Experience with air brake systems and repairs Must have a CDL-Class A license TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional) Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat) Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole Must be able to work in confined spaces DCI Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with generous employer match Paid time off, including 10 paid holidays Optional health savings account & flexible spending account Life insurance Employee assistance program Parental leave Referral program Tuition reimbursement Tool purchase program Effective and proven safety program Resources to become a national board ASME certified welder
Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical and/or tank trailer repair experience
- CDL Class-A Driver license
- Must have a CDL-Class A license
Nice To Haves
- TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
