About The Position

As a Trailer Mechanic/Technician A, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all trailers and related equipment used by the Company in the transportation and handling of freight in a safe, efficient, timely, cost-effective, and practical manner. This equipment includes over-the-road and city trailers of various make and configurations. You will track completed and uncompleted work to maintain adequate production to meet service schedule and customer commitments. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on the component parts and systems of trailers, diagnose any mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other type of breakdown or potential failure, and perform routine maintenance such as lubrication, cooling system test, brake adjustments, and tire inflation repair. You will also rebuild all or part of a system of assigned equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a background check and alcohol/drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience.
  • Fabrication experience.
  • Construction experience.
