About The Position

Wildlands Restoration Volunteers is seeking dedicated individuals to join our volunteer trail projects in the National Forest, taking place every weekend in or near Summit County. This is a great opportunity to engage with nature, contribute to trail maintenance, and work alongside fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Volunteers will have the chance to participate in various projects throughout the season, including trail construction and maintenance.

Requirements

  • No experience necessary to volunteer.

Responsibilities

  • Clear wilderness trails using vintage crosscut saws.
  • Construct a new trail from Wildernest to Willow Falls.
  • Build a bridge over Willow Creek.
  • Camp back-country with llama support on some projects.
  • Construct a new trail from Fairplay to Boreas Pass.
