The Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) is nationally recognized and registered with the United States Department of Labor. This one-year (2000 hour) program will provide in-depth training (both on the job and classroom) to prepare participants for a fully operational Traffic Signal Technician position. Apprentices will be assigned to a seasoned professional as a mentor for the duration of the program. Upon successful completion, participants will receive national certification. The Traffic Signs and Markings apprentice will assist the Traffic Division in all efforts associated with traffic signs and markings throughout the City in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The hiring range for this position is $21.02- $24.50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. First reading of applicants to take place on: Tuesday, 4/7/26.
