About The Position
The position involves the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic traffic signals, school flashers, and related systems. The majority of work is performed outdoors, exposing the employee to various weather conditions, traffic, dirt, dust, noise, fumes, odors, and electrical hazards. The role requires moderately physical effort, including the ability to perceive colors, lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds, operate heavy equipment, and use safety equipment such as helmets, face masks, safety shoes, aprons, gloves, and goggles. The position also requires emergency call-out status, shift work, and overtime, with regular attendance being essential for continuity of services. The role is subject to drug testing in accordance with applicable regulations.
