Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Engineering, the Intern assists the Traffic Operations department in performing tasks of average difficulty and responsibility and performs related tasks as required. The intern will perform skilled work in a broad range of activities including research analysis, writing, graphics, preparing primary and secondary reports from various information resources and other support duties. Working in a public municipality allows interns to test the concepts and skills learned in the classroom and applied in practice. This internship program will provide invaluable preparation with hands-on experience in the daily operations of the Traffic Operations department with a focus on research, data aggregation and analysis. This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position.
