The Traffic Manager at Burrell Communications is responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of media content across various networks. This role involves developing, coordinating, and executing plans to ensure efficient media content distribution, while collaborating with multiple teams to ensure all materials are processed and ready for air.

  • Manage the trafficking of all client materials for TV, terrestrial, and digital Radio spots across various platforms.
  • Conduct a critical assessment of agency traffic procedures in collaboration with Business Affairs and account team leadership.
  • Supervise workflow, create and delegate job assignments, and ensure quality control.
  • Manage traffic deadlines for broadcast and digital deliverables, maintaining schedules and flight/live dates.
  • Liaise with media agencies and account teams regarding changes in flight dates, materials needed, and format requirements.
  • Report traffic instructions to generate accurate residual invoices in a timely manner.
  • Issue traffic instructions to stations or media agencies and purchase orders to vendors for commercial distribution production requests.
  • Field questions from stations and review/approve invoices.
  • Multi-task on various campaigns and projects while remaining organized and prioritizing tasks.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends related to ad ops/trafficking and manage commercial continuity processes.
  • 10+ years of traffic management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas to all levels of management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial advertising trafficking processes.
  • Experience in trafficking and handling clearance for national and local broadcast networks.
  • Comfort with Digital Asset Management tools.
  • Organized and detail-oriented manager of people and resources.
  • Solid understanding of broadcasting as it relates to Sales, Traffic, Production, and Accounting.
  • Conceptual and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well against deadlines.
  • Full-time position with a salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 per year.
