NV5 is seeking an intern for the summer of 2026 to support the Traffic group in our Alpharetta, GA office. The intern will receive a valuable experience that will allow the individual to apply knowledge received during school studies and determine the area of focus for upcoming course work. This individual will also be able to create relationships with a variety of designers, engineers, and managers. The most frequent and essential work activities include:

Requirements

• Must be a college student in an engineering or transportation planning program
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Well organized
• Must be comfortable working with MS Word, MS Excel and learning new software as necessary
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employment-preferred

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus but not required
• Previous study courses in Traffic, Transportation or Transportation Planning a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with technical support for the design of traffic/transportation related projects.
• Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation software to prepare drawings.
• Participate in fieldwork.
• Complete project tasks within deadlines.
