About The Position
HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER has an outstanding opportunity to hire a TRAFFIC GUIDE . As the region's only Level I Trauma center, Harborview Medical Center (HMC) is well known for innovations and excellence in trauma care and its centers of emphasis: Trauma, Burn, Neurosciences, AIDS/STD CARER, and mentally-and medically- vulnerable populations. In addition to the centers of emphasis, HMC serves a mission population for King County. Harborview employees are committed to the vital role the institution plays in the immediate community, as well as the entire Northwest region. HMC is owned by King County and managed by the University of Washington (UW) and serves as a training site for UW’s School of Medicine.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Responsibilities
- Maintain parking facilities with routine procedures such as: open/close procedures, stocking, repairs, cleaning.
- Direct traffic in the event of a traffic disruption.
- Assist customers with parking payments.
- Patrol assigned campus parking areas on foot; observe parking and traffic patterns; issue citations for parking violations; report unwanted behavior.
- Provide safety escorts to and from locations on HMC campus.
