An AFAD Operator is an entry level position with great potential for advancement. AFAD, stands for (Automatic Flagger Assistance Device), these devices are utilized for assisting in traffic control operations. An operator will be fully trained in setting up, general maintenance and operating these devices. These devices are cutting edge technology that replaces human flaggers and drastically decreases the potential risk of an on-site accident. The devices are operated and ran from a tablet, having experience with technology, smart phones, or gaming devices is a huge benefit. Assist Operator Lead, with either traffic setup or any other tasks they might call you to perform. Occasionally assisting in manually flagging on the road. Assist in keeping a safe working environment for your customers as well as your coworkers. Assist with completely daily paperwork, tracking labor times and equipment counts. Assisting with setup & break down of the AFAD units. Assisting with setup & break down of work site. Wearing proper PPE, hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, vest. Long hours, weekends and night work required. On-Call rotation required. Complete paperwork, using company's applications (Paylocity, TCR & Doforms) Any other duties assigned by Manager
