About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Traffic Engineering Intern for employment in our Grand Rapids, MI office.
This position is expected to begin in June 2026.
Job Responsibilities:
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
Intern 1 – completion of first year of qualified study

Requirements

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study.
• Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
• Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Nice To Haves

• Have completed coursework in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or related civil engineering subjects.
• Familiarity with OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
