In this role you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies. You will perform engineering analysis and supporting calculations / documentation relating to traffic safety and operations. You will also coordinate the drafting of project deliverables for various clients. Location This position offers flexibility within the front range of Colorado. Benesch is expanding our Colorado division, and we welcome candidates from diverse areas including but not limited to Greeley, Fort Collins, Johnstown, in addition to the Denver Metro area. The Impact You Will Have Collect and assimilate data and perform analysis of traffic and safety-related operations projects. Develop traffic and safety engineering proposed solutions under direction of others. Develop improvement concept plans. Organize analysis to be included in reports to clientele, following agency standards. Perform field or site visits as needed. Willingness to work at client sites, under the supervision of clientele. Develop cursory knowledge of applicable standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
  • E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
  • Willingness to be adaptable to office and field tasks.
  • The position will include the need to travel to project sites.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)
  • Detailed, and organized individual who thrives in environments that are deadline driven.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Synchro, GIS, and Microsoft Office products is preferred but not required.
