About The Position

Ardurra is seeking a Traffic EIT to join our team in Newport Beach, CA, El Segundo, CA and/or Las Vegas, NV! Under general supervision, performs assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related traffic and transportation engineering tasks. Assignments involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level. We are looking for self-motivated candidates to be responsible for assisting the Traffic and Transportation Group with various tasks including general knowledge of street design and safety elements, developing plans for signing and striping for transportation improvement projects, and supporting the development of concept plans for Signalization, Lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Requirements

• Civil or Electrical Engineering degree or background.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• EIT preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred; MicroStation experience also considered.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Synchro software.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O).
• Knowledge of Connected Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) initiatives.
• Experience in preparation of lighting plans and photometric analysis using AGi32 or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Traffic and Transportation Group with traffic and transportation engineering tasks.
• Develop plans for signing and striping for transportation improvement projects.
• Familiarize with traffic signal elements and signal timing.
• Support the development of concept plans for Signalization, Lighting, and ITS.
• Develop plans for signalization and ITS including component layout and power connectivity.
• Assist with traffic impact studies and perform traffic analysis using Synchro software.
• Conduct field reviews, existing condition assessments, and proposed improvement design development.
• Apply engineering design standards during concept and plans preparation.
