Dewberry is currently seeking a Traffic/Electrical and Highways Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Transportation Group in our Bloomfield, NJ offices. Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering required.
  • Previous internship experience preferred.
  • MicroStation experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Task Management and leadership skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects.
  • Perform field investigations, assisting in traffic analysis, design, and construction support tasks.
  • Ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and quantities.
  • Design Traffic Signals and signal timings per agency standards.
  • Prepare Traffic Signal plans.
