About The Position

Native Sun is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor for a CDOT culvert repair project with 19 sites between Durango and Alamosa. The TCS will oversee all traffic control operations, manage flaggers, and ensure work zones meet CDOT, MUTCD, and project safety standards.

Requirements

• Active CDOT Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification.
• 3+ years traffic control or roadway construction experience.
• Working knowledge of CDOT and MUTCD traffic control standards, permits, and documentation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel between multiple project sites between Durango and Alamosa and work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement project MHTs and maintain compliant traffic control setups.
• Supervise flaggers and ensure safe, efficient work zones.
• Coordinate daily with superintendents and CDOT inspectors.
• Maintain accurate daily records of traffic control activities, crew assignments, and any changes to MHTs or site conditions.
• Respond to changing field conditions, weather, and emergency situations to keep crews and the traveling public safe.
• Train and mentor flagging personnel on proper procedures, equipment setup, and site safety expectations.
