About the position

As a traffic control supervisor at DCS (DeAngelo Contracting Services), you will oversee operations related to road and highway construction projects. Your role involves employing traffic control devices to divert pedestrians and drivers, monitoring the repair of roads, and supervising teams as they install equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining work zone safety from start to finish, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and promoting a positive safety culture among project team members and subcontractors. This position requires an eye for detail and the ability to uphold the company’s morals and principles while executing the project’s operational plan in a well-organized manner.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and report accidents, injuries, claims, and stop-work requests.
  • Oversee and coordinate lane closures, traffic control services, and incident response.
  • Conduct and participate in project-level safety training and worksite assessments.
  • Plan and prepare daily and weekly work plans to address customer service complaints and repairs.
  • Ensure work performance complies with contractual, federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Execute the project’s operational plan to meet or exceed contractual obligations.
  • Ensure Technicians perform their duties at optimal performance levels.
  • Assist with scheduling subcontractor operations work.
  • Seek methods to improve processes for cost-effectiveness and performance efficiency.
  • Ensure timely submission of daily work, inspection, timekeeping, and reporting documentation.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Promote a strong customer service culture among project team members.
  • Focus on Technicians' professional development in technical ability, quality, customer service, and safety.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising field personnel during lane closures, traffic control services, and incident response within the past 5 years.
  • Experience with MS Office Software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • CDL License is a plus, but not required.
  • First Aid and CPR Certified preferred.

Nice-to-haves
