About The Position

Kilgore Companies, a Summit Materials LLC company, is now hiring for Traffic Control Maintainers. In this position you will primarily be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points for various job sites throughout Salt Lake and Utah County.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Clean MVR
• Knowledge of the traffic control industry with prior traffic control or road construction experience
• Willingness to work long hours during peak season, some weekends, and evenings
• Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting
• Ability to interact with public, supervisors, and coworkers professionally at all times

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Load and unload work zone equipment to and from company vehicles and on the job site
• Setting up and removing temporary cones, signs, variable message boards, and safety barriers that show traffic where to drive
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Follow all safety precautions to protect motorists and construction workers
• Be able to show up in required PPE at designated start time ready to work
