As a Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites, focusing on traffic safety. No prior experience or degree is required, as AWP Safety provides comprehensive training and support to help employees build a career. Your daily tasks will involve setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades, and using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic while monitoring both traffic flow and job site activity. Adherence to all safety rules taught during training is paramount. You will be expected to communicate effectively with your crew and supervisor, and assist in keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe. The role requires working outdoors year-round, in all weather conditions, and involves standing or walking for 8 to 12 hours per shift. Shifts may vary based on job needs, potentially including nights, weekends, or emergency work. AWP Safety provides essential safety gear including a hard hat, safety goggles, safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear; however, you must provide your own steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle.
