As a Protector with AWP Safety, America’s leading traffic management company, you will work as part of a team at various job sites. This role does not require prior experience or a degree, as AWP Safety provides comprehensive training and support to help you build a career in traffic safety, emphasizing that safety is always the first priority. Your daily tasks will involve setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades. You will use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, while also monitoring traffic flow and job site activity. Adherence to all safety rules learned in training is crucial. You will be expected to communicate effectively with your crew and supervisor, and contribute to keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe. The position requires working outdoors throughout the year, in all weather conditions. Shifts may vary and can include nights, weekends, or emergency work, and you may be required to stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift. AWP Safety provides essential safety gear including a hard hat, safety goggles, safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear; however, you must provide your own steel-toe safety boots that extend above the ankle.
