As a Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites for AWP Safety, America’s leading traffic management company. No prior experience or degree is required, as comprehensive training is provided to ensure safety and career development. Your daily tasks will involve setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades, and using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic while monitoring both traffic flow and job site activities. Adherence to all safety rules taught during training is paramount. You will be expected to communicate effectively with your crew and supervisor, and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment. This role requires working outdoors throughout the year, in all weather conditions. Shifts may vary based on job requirements, potentially including nights, weekends, or emergency work. You should be prepared to stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift. AWP Safety provides essential safety gear including a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear; however, you are responsible for providing your own steel toe safety boots that extend above the ankle.
