Requirements

• Traffic control and/or road construction experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on construction project demands.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and obtain DOT Medical Card upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety by prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with OSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Control Traffic by performing daily traffic control and flagging activities, following safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites.
• Operate and Maintain Fleet Vehicles by operating truck (and trailer, at times) within construction work zone and performing daily inspections of motorized vehicles.
• Provide Assistance at Construction Sites as needed to aid advancement of construction projects.
• Attend and engage in scheduled training sessions such as ATSSA Technician, ATSSA Supervisor, ATSSA Flagger, and OSHA 10 hour.
