Responsibilities
- Monitor and control all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering or exiting the facility.
- Greet and check in drivers, vendors, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Verify Bills of Lading (BOL), purchase orders, delivery numbers, and trailer information.
- Issue and collect visitor badges, trailer seals, and dock assignments as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs for inbound/outbound shipments, trailer yard inventory, and driver check-ins.
- Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments regarding dock availability and driver staging.
- Ensure only authorized personnel gain access to the facility; report any suspicious activity immediately.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to security, safety, and compliance (e.g., CTPAT standards).
- Operate security equipment, such as surveillance cameras or radios, as required.
- Complete shift reports and logbooks to document activities and occurrences during the shift.
- Assist with yard checks and trailer inventory audits when requested.
