Road Runner Safety Services Inc. is seeking a dependable, motivated Traffic Control Apprentice to join our team in St. Louis, MO. While we provide training, we strongly prefer candidates with prior traffic control or field/construction experience. This role requires someone who can work independently, confidently handle responsibilities in the field, and collaborate effectively with a team. Requirements
- Valid MO Class D driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Dependability, self-motivation, and a strong commitment to safety
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in traffic control and familiarity with basic work zone safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices to ensure safe work zones
- Apply MUTCD standards and company safety procedures
- Complete accurate service reports and required documentation
- Safely operate and drive company vehicles to and from job sites
- Support operations at nearby locations when needed
- Fabricate and assemble traffic control signs
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on company equipment
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Identify and communicate customer needs to assist with sales opportunities
- Work independently and with team members to complete assignments efficiently
