About The Position

Lead and develop a team responsible for compiling and maintaining accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments. Oversee daily operations by planning and directing driver assignments, including check-in, dock door assignments, and check-out upon load completion. This role operates on a Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM shift, offering steady hours and the opportunity to guide a team that keeps freight moving smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Basic math skills may be required at some facilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers; English may be required
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear, may be required at some facilities
• May be required to lift a minimum of 20 lbs./9 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and direct the work of a Traffic Clerk team
• Ensure the team is providing timely follow-up on all issues or concerns
• Act as liaison between operations and transportation to verify shipping/receiving documents are completed accurately and timely
• Partner with operations and transportation to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports (if applicable)
• Communicate concerns and route reports to appropriate team members
• Provide ongoing training to team members as needed
