About The Position

The Trading Services Specialist supports our advisors in their trading needs related to equities, options, mutual funds, UIT’s and precious metals. This role is responsible for buying and selling securities in brokerage and advisory accounts, including working with our third-party asset managers to trade their advisory models.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite and/or with Firm specific applications (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.).

Proficient with trading technology; previous experience with Blaze, or Pershing BTR a plus.
Possess a thorough understanding of SEC and FINRA trading rules and regulations.
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Work Experience Required: At least two years of brokerage and investment advisory experience with at least one year of trading experience working with equities, mutual funds, ETFs, and options.
Minimum Requirement: Series 7, Series 65 (or equivalent), and Series 57 (or equivalent) licenses.

Responsibilities

Work directly with our advisors and their teams to support complex trading needs including order execution, cost-based related tasks, and correction of trade errors.
Maintain best execution practices and standards when trading all products.
Work closely with our Investment Management team to administer firm sponsored and advisor directed advisory models.
Work directly with our third-party asset managers for trading and rebalancing approved models.
Provide training and subject matter expertise for the firm’s model trading and rebalancing software, including Blaze and Pershing BTR.
Collaborate with peers and other home-office teams on complex trade related matters, utilizing appropriate channels and resources, including ensuring full compliance with rules and regulations.
Identify, communicate, and monitor discrepancies and workflow issues between the trading and accounting systems.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
