Trading Analyst (Credit, Rates Desk)
About The Position
We are looking for a Trading Analyst to join our Credit/Rates trading team. You will have a wide scope of responsibilities that involve collaboration with team members across the different business lines of both our franchise and principal trading desks. Your day to day will include execution, routine analysis and monitoring of markets, assistance in construction and risk management of a cross-asset portfolio. On top of this, you will be tasked with conducting detailed due diligence and research into prospective deals, assist in development of internal tooling for the desk.
Requirements
- Highly self-directed, capability to solve problems independently, and a desire to take end-to-end ownership of projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree from relevant US or foreign university, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
- Deep experience with cryptocurrency markets, decentralized finance, perpetual futures, and prediction markets.
- Basic familiarity with derivatives and global macro markets. Desire to increase knowledge and expertise in these areas.
- Proactive and curious mindset with strong attention to detail and intellectual rigor
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to operate in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
Nice To Haves
- Technical skills are desired but not strictly necessary (Excel, Python, additional programming languages, experience with crypto-related or trading software/infrastructure, data science and analytics, databases)
- Experience utilizing large language models and AI/agentic tooling into personal workflows and integrating them into internal tooling also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support senior traders in management of cross asset proprietary trading books (Cryptocurrency, Equities, Rates, FX, Commodities) via trade execution, trade research/analysis, and day-to-day risk management.
- Actively monitor relevant market news across single name, industry, regulatory, and political sources.
- Routinely develop and communicate informed views on both live positions and potential opportunities across cryptocurrency and global macro markets.
- Provide research and analysis on various crypto, equity and macro catalysts as well as propose original ideas.
- Collaborate with team members across our franchise and principal trading desks, including those on our Lending, Derivatives Trading, Principal Trading, and Strategic Opportunities teams.
- Assist in day-to-day management and further build out of trading desk operations. Help develop monitoring and analysis tools to discover new opportunities in market, streamline internal operational and risk flows, and improve execution capabilities.
