About The Position

The Trades Payable Accountant at Sellen will perform various accounting functions within the Trades Payable (Accounts Payable) group, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reviewing AP transactions using the Viewpoint accounting system. This role also involves vendor communication, correspondence, and issue resolution. Sellen aims to build strong project teams and values diverse perspectives and problem-solving skills. Requirements

• 2+ years of direct applicable college education and/or work experience in a construction accounting office, OR a comparable combination of education and experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and the full suite of applications in Microsoft Office
• Extensive proficiency with use of Excel
• Experience with an integrated standard business accounting program
• General understanding of the construction industry, with specific emphasis on the application of sales and use tax
• Familiarity with a general ledger and job costing codes
• Experience with credit card platforms
• Detail oriented
• Strong organizational skills
• Superb analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Outstanding written communication
• Communicates comfortably and effectively with new and diverse groups of people
