About The Position

A Trades I - Plumber supports resort operations by performing plumbing tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. As a Trades I - Plumber, you will: Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management Execute daily plumbing tasks and assigned projects while supporting other trades as needed Basic knowledge of plumbing systems operation, installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements Install residential water fixtures, including toilets, faucets, valves, water heaters, and appliances Diagnose and unclog toilets, tubs, Jacuzzis, showers, faucets, and sinks Assist with preliminary plumbing connections for domestic, sanitary, stormwater, and fire safety systems Repair leaks using CPVC, PVC, PEX, copper, cast iron, and black steel pipes Read and interpret technical data and O&M manuals effectively Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available on-site Operate resort operations software and devices effectively (HotSOS) Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools needed for plumbing work Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, dust masks, and in confined or narrow spaces Follow safety guidelines and practices Identify and report potential hazards on the property Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership Individual must possess and adhere to the following core values: Integrity – Doing what’s right when no one is looking Passion – Creating positive impact Work Ethic – Having pride in your work

Requirements

  • Technical certification or plumbing license preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds
