About The Position

Requirements

• On-the-job training in Skilled and Semi-Skilled trades, as required of an apprentice.
• Demonstrated ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to prepare surfaces for materials applications.
• Ability to learn and achieve journeyman apprentice level in one of the Skilled Trades.
• Ability to understand technical directions.
• Valid Michigan driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for bringing necessary supplies to the job site.
• Assists in unloading trucks and other deliveries.
• Helps set up ladders, scaffolding, and other necessary equipment.
• Performs miscellaneous duties for various Skilled Trades as necessary during a job.
• Assists in surface preparation, plastering, and repair of holes.
• Assists in material application.
• Assists in furniture covering and masking.
• Assists with installation, maintenance, and repair of various window treatments.
• Maintains awareness of proper procedures when encountering suspected asbestos-containing material.
• Maintains a clean working environment and cleans up the job site after work is completed.
