As a Trader I at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are here to help us create an entertaining betting proposition that appeals to Fanatics customers. Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is looking for a passionate and driven General Sports Trader I to join our dynamic Trading team. This role will focus on key general sports including Tennis, Soccer, NHL, UFC, PGA, NASCAR, and more. You'll be instrumental in building an engaging and innovative betting experience that resonates with our customers. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong trading foundation, an eye for data, and a deep love of sports. Working alongside our Trading Managers, you'll contribute to the evolution of our sportsbook offering by helping shape pricing, manage live and prematch events, and track performance metrics across sports.

  • Work in a designated part of the Trading department, responsible for tasks related to compiling prices, event creation & settlement, monitoring bets & managing prices and assessing customers.
  • Build strong working relationships with Risk, Trading Operations, Content, Product, and other sportsbook teams to ensure alignment and innovation.
  • Help to test new sportsbook features and trading models, as well as provide input with the wider team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement across the Trading department, assisting with automation and identifying areas for advancement.
  • Operate across multiple data feed providers and internal tools, demonstrating confidence in troubleshooting and adapting processes as needed.
  • Work with key metrics and reporting tools to assess market performance and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to create and implement a best-in-class, intuitive, and scalable betting experience for our customers - driven by data, user research, and competitor analysis.
  • Ensure that Fanatics are putting the customer at the heart of our Trading strategies.
  • Assist other teams within the department where necessary.
  • Work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays, and participate in occasional travel to events or other Fanatics offices.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 2 Years experience in similar roles.
  • A real passion for sport, and an inherent understanding of what sports fans want in order to be entertained.
  • Excellent understanding of odds compilation and good knowledge of the sports gambling industry.
  • Ability to understand and interpret data, translating that data into prices.
  • Ability to test sportsbook platforms and help develop and test trading models.
  • Preference to work in an entrepreneurial, hyper growth environment where decisions are made quickly.
  • Team-first mentality, with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done and effectively work cross-functionally across different teams at FBG and the larger Fanatics organization.
  • Willingness to ask questions and learn along with strong problem solving skills.
  • Flexible work schedule will be required, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
