Responsibilities

  • Purchase, sell, and structure energy and derivatives transactions across short‑term and intermediate markets, using a fundamentals‑driven approach to identify value.
  • Develop and execute futures, options, swaps, and other pricing strategies that enhance physical positions, manage risk, and capture location and time‑spread opportunities.
  • Analyze supply and demand trends, trade flows, macro factors, and market structures to build informed trading views and respond to changing conditions.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with strategic partners while ensuring compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and defined risk parameters.
  • Apply advanced understanding of market dynamics, financial indicators, and trading techniques to solve complex problems and unlock commercial opportunities.
  • Partner with physical trading, origination, analytics, and risk teams to align derivatives activity with customer needs and broader commercial strategies.
  • Support demand forecasting, pricing strategy, and the development of customer‑focused risk‑management solutions.
  • Contribute to business planning by developing business cases, forecasting performance, and evaluating financial implications of key initiatives.
  • Help strengthen trading tools, analytics, and processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and decision‑making.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert by staying current on regulation and market best practices, sharing insights, and contributing to team capability development.
