About The Position

Routinely recognized as one of the top teams in the country, the Trademark & Copyright Team of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP continues to grow and seeks an Associate with at least 3 years of direct trademark experience with clearance and prosecution, who is fluent speaking and writing in both Spanish and English. We offer the opportunity to work on cutting-edge trademark issues for name-brand clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing U.S. and international trademark portfolios with specific experience in complex, high-level U.S. and international trademark clearance, in particular, as well as complex prosecution. Experience working with entertainment companies is preferable. Spanish-language skills, both written and spoken, required. Successful candidates will have strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing and critical thinking skills, and be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage a high-volume docket. Candidate must have JD or LLM and be barred in resident state. Ideal office locations: Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley (Menlo Park), Seattle, Walnut Creek, Washington DC, or Winston Salem. Open to remote candidates in other US locations.

Requirements

At least 3 years of direct trademark experience with clearance and prosecution
Fluent speaking and writing in both Spanish and English
Experience in managing U.S. and international trademark portfolios with specific experience in complex, high-level U.S. and international trademark clearance, in particular, as well as complex prosecution
Strong academic credentials
Excellent legal writing and critical thinking skills
